Cragganmore 26 yo 1995/2022 (54.7%, Hunter Laing, The First Editions, sherry butt, cask #HL 19119, 300 bottles) 
We had tried sister cask #19521 bottled on the similar energy final 12 months, and thought it was fairly excellent (WF 88). It is all the time fairly thrilling to style the admirable Cragganmores and the younger Taliskers that the 2 branches of the very honourable Laing household handle to supply us every so often! Color: deep gold. Nostril: we’re nearer to the traditional, extra sherry-driven Cragganmores, together with the older official twelves. There is a waxiness that is fairly near some ‘good’ cleaning soap (pure!), some inexperienced walnuts, some cigarette tobacco (we hold mentioning old-style Camels), brown ale, amontillado, muscovado, bits of previous leather-based… With water: pure beeswax and overripe apples. Easy however excellent combo. Mouth (neat): baggage of oranges and a few chocolate. Jaffa cake, orangettes… That is very Cragganmore in my e-book, certainly. Then greener berries, greengages, gooseberries, extra chocolate, some espresso… With water: and voilà, oranges and varied black teas, plus the same old walnuts. End: lengthy, punchy, only a tad inexperienced and spicy ultimately, coming nearer to the OB in that respect. Feedback: we might like extra Cragganmore and extra Bowmore (properly, that is intelligent, S.)
